Wholesale Coffee Options
Hello! We are River Roasters Coffee Company from Pomeroy, Ohio and we wanted to share some information about our new wholesale coffee selections that we are now roasting in house. First of all, our company is all about bringing coffee and culture to rural communities through our awesome coffee and food options! This also spills into the way that we purchase our coffee and where we see ourselves blending into other markets as well. When we first approached tasting coffee for our cafe in 2018, we tasted lots of varieties and origins and kept coming back to a FTO coffee out of Oaxaca Mexico; we love it! We still use that origin and continue to believe that our customers, in rural America, are helping to provide a living wage to farmers and families in rural parts of Oaxaca, Mexico. How awesome is that?!
We also believe in empowering women and minorities in business and regular everyday life. My wife, Candice is the majority owner of our business and leads our team of 18 employees with love and compassion. It's what we are all about! But any who, we purchase from woman owned coffee farms, fair trade, organic whenever possible. Another supplier that we use, RoyalNY, skips the whole Fair Trade movement and buys Direct Trade. This works out as a better option sometimes and guarantees the farmers not just a Fair Trade price but usually more; which is great for the coffee industry and sustainability of the workers and land it's grown on.
A little more that makes us unique and special is that we have a specialty coffee cafe in Pomeroy, Ohio and roast our coffee in Pomeroy, Ohio. This is the first time that has ever happened and not only are we psyched about it but our customers are too! We have received lots of feedback from the beginning of opening our shop in 2018 but since we have started roasting, last month, our coffee has been the buzz around town (pun intended). We also have great social media following and high quality content that can be shared with our customers. Obviously we would also return that by sharing quality content from our customers.
Please find more about our coffee below. Our wholesale pricing right now is $11.65 per pound for individual packaged pounds of coffee with whole bean and ground options. And our 5 pound bag specialty grade coffee is $10 per pound with an MSRP of $16.99/pound. Please let us know if you have other questions or would like any samples or additional information.
Smooth Sailing: 100% Single Origin Mexican Oaxaca has a fresh, chocolate, nutty, malted, sweet lemon, crisp finish and can be found in our shop rotating as an espresso coffee but it’s equally as delicious with any preparation.
Cold as Ice Cold Brew Blend: 60% Brazil / 40% Natural Ethiopia Sweet, balanced, fudge, syrupy body, increasing berry/fruit as the cup cools. This is our house cold brew blend.
Motor Boatin’ Medium Blend: 40% Brazil / 30% Colombia / 30% Washed Ethiopia Milk chocolate, baked pastry, juicy, orange zest, complex. We use this as our house medium drip coffee but tastes great as espresso or pour over.
Dark Waters Dark Blend: 50% Columbia / 50% Mexico Sweet smoke, dry spice, pipe tobacco, bakers' chocolate, deep and lingering. Our signature house dark blend!
Agua Electrica Blend: is a 50% Columbia / 50% Mexico roasted as a lighter version of our dark blend. We roast it a little less time for different tastes, colors, and smells! Tasting notes are sweet, nutty, bakers' chocolate, caramel, bright, smoke, citrus finish. We are also rotating this as an espresso blend.
